The Weakley County Rescue Squad was busy helping people escape flood waters and responding to emergencies during the severe weather events in April.
Rescue Squad member Brandon Odle gave Thunderbolt News his point of view on a rescue he was a part of in early April.
Mr. Odle says that the rescue squad is in need of more equipment. They receive a yearly stipend from the county of only $5,000 a year and operate off of fundraisers.
The Weakley County Rescue Squad has 19 active members. Mr. Odle says anyone who wants to volunteer is welcome to fill out an application.
