The latest report showed farming as the No.1 economic impact statewide for Tennessee at approximately $89-billion dollars annually.
The report showed Tennessee with almost 63,000 farms and a total of 10.7 million acres.
The average state farm was 170 acres.
In Kentucky, the annual economic impact of agriculture was listed at $45.6 billion dollars.
Kentucky was reported with 69,400 farms totaling 12.4 million acres.
The average farm size in the Bluegrass State was 179 acres.
