The UT Martin women’s basketball team ended their season on Wednesday with a 78-72 loss to Western Illinois in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
The game features seven lead changes and 11 ties with neither team leading by 10 or more during the matchup. The Leathernecks outscored the Skyhawks 23-12 in the fourth quarter to seal the win and advance.
Head Coach Kevin McMillan said the outcome of game was fitting for their season.
UTM finishes their season at 13-19 overall and 10-10 in OVC play.
