Rives Fire Chief Campbell Rice says the public can assist in the recovery efforts for flood victims.

In an update, Chief Rice said the flood water has receded and people are now returning to their homes.

Several of the residents still have no power and are currently waiting for the State Fire Marshall for an inspection.

It has been indicated that if water was in the HVAC system, the homeowner will be required to have it replaced before the power can be restored.

This will be a big expense for some of these residents.

To help assist the victims who have been affected by the flooding, monetary donations can be made to the Beulah Baptist Association.

Those wanting to assist in the recovery can log on to www.bbaol.org.

Monetary donations can be submitted to the Beulah Baptist Association at P.O. Box 366 in Union City.
