Two men were arrested after agents with the Interstate Criminal Interdiction Unit found multiple electronics used to steal credit card information during a traffic stop in Haywood County.
According to a press release, authorities noticed abnormalities with a vehicle during a traffic stop on I-40 that led them to believe further criminal activity was occurring.
A search of the vehicle yielded multiple devices used to steal card information from gas pumps and re-encode the information onto other cards.
The stolen card information was being used to fill a large fuel tank in the bed of the vehicle. Multiple re-encoded cards were also seized.
