The Obion County Sheriff’s Office is urging football fans to have a plan if alcohol will be part of their Super Bowl party this Sunday.
The Sheriff’s Office and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration are conducting a campaign called “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk”.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable time, Sheriff’s Office Administrative Captain Scott Watkins is urging party goers to have a designated driver if they plan to consume alcohol.
Captain Watkins is encouraging all bars, restaurants and other party locations to secure designated drivers in advance to provide safe travel following the game.
Local and state law enforcement officers will be on the lookout for motorists who may be operating a vehicle while impaired.
