Obion County Fair Recognized During Association of Fairs Convention

Tennessee’s agricultural fairs were honored during the 103rd Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention in Murfreesboro.

During the event, the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and Association of Fairs presented awards to the top county, regional and state fairs in 2024.

Locally, Blake Laws with the Obion County Fair was presented the Vernon Henson Memorial Award.

Laws served as the President of the Tennessee Association of Fairs for the year 2024.

In competition, the Obion County Fair won 1st Place for Fair Poster, 2nd Place for Fair Flyer, Table Top Display and Promotional Item.

In Division 2A, the Henry County Fair was named 2nd runner-up this year.

In 2024, nearly three-million visitors attended county, regional, and state fairs in Tennessee, enjoying more than 220,000 exhibits.
