When Tennessee Governor Bill Lee calls the state legislature to a special session on Monday, a heavy focus will be on the contested school voucher bill.

State Senator John Stevens told Thunderbolt Radio that he supports the school voucher program.

Senator Stevens says that public schools are not at risk of losing money because of the bill.

Twenty-thousand scholarships for private schools would be available if the bill were to pass. Senator Stevens explains how those would be divided up.

John Stevens was elected to the State Senate in 2012. He represents Weakley, Obion, Benton, Carroll, Gibson, and Henry Counties.
