Henry County High School has named J.R. Kirby as their new head football coach after Coach James Counce III left to take a position at Rockvale High School.
Coach Kirby is coming from Covington High School where he spent the last six years. During his tenure at Covington the team went 61-16 under his leadership.
Last season Covington went 11-2, winning a playoff game before losing to Westview.
