During the monthly Weakley County HEED meeting Weakley County Chamber of Commerce CEO Justin Crice along with UT Martin Outreach and Economic Development Director Alicia Melton proposed the idea of making a strategic development plan for Weakley County.
The Chamber along with UT Martin have already been working to organize a strategic planning grant with the Delta Regional Fund that would allow a group to come in to consult with the county government and city governments.
Weakley County Mayor Dale Hutcherson gave his support to the idea.
The HEED committee showed full support for the plan and will present it at the next full county commission meeting.
