A Homecoming reunion for Union City boys basketball, and the honoring of a former booster, will take place Friday night at Marty Sisco Gymnasium.
The celebration will honor more than 1,600 wins over the last 80 years, along with five state championship seasons.
Former Union City High School standout, and Tennessee Volunteers basketball player Mark Griffin, has spearheaded the reunion event for all who have worn the Tornadoes jersey.
Griffin told Thunderbolt News the idea came from similar events he had attended for the Volunteers program.(AUDIO)
Griffin said he was also honored to have the opportunity to recognize the late Bobby Whitby.(AUDIO)
Following the 5:00 pre-game dinner and guest speakers, many player introductions will take place during the girls and boys games, along with the five championship teams.
