The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission will vote on an increase in license fees at this week’s meeting in Memphis.

During the meetings on Thursday and Friday, at the Ducks Unlimited National Headquarters, the Commission will consider a proposed price increase from the September meeting.

Tennessee law allows the Commission to increase license fees in line with the consumer price index inflation.

The price index inflation has risen 31.6-percent since the last fee increase occurred in 2015.

The agency proposal would increase boating registration fees by 22-percent, with most hunting and fishing license prices to increase by 28-percent.

If approved at the Memphis meeting, Sportsman and Lifetime license fees would also increase by 12- percent.
