Kind Gesture by Union City Fire Department to Benefit Struggling East Tennessee Fire Department

A gesture by the Union City Fire Department will reap big benefits for a struggling East Tennessee Fire Department.

During Tuesday’s City Council meeting, Fire Chief Karl Ullrich made a request to the board concerning a surplus piece of equipment.(AUDIO)

 

Following the request by Chief Ullrich, and voice of support from Mayor Hailey, board members voted unanimously to donate the 1999 fire truck to the Elk Mills Volunteer Fire Station.
