Obion County Schools are benefiting from a Union City business.
Assistant Director of Schools, Dr.Greg Barclay, and Communications Director Lauren Kendall, accepted the first check from Parrots Car Wash (formerly known as Peppy’s Car Wash).
Business owner Jeff Bush was joined by employees David Boyantum and Nick Gross in making the presentation.
This partnership between Obion County Schools and Parrots Car Wash supports local education through community participation.
Parrots Car Wash will be donating $1 for every car wash performed on the first Wednesday of each month.
The first donation totaled $260 for each school district, as Obion County and Union City operate under separate districts.
The goal is to eventually extend the program to every Wednesday as community participation increases.
