A Union City woman was charged following a dog complaint on North Dobbins Street.

Police reports said an Animal Control officer responded to the residence following complaints of constant barking.

At the scene, Animal Control observed four dogs in wire crates under a tree.

The police report stated one dog was alone in a crate, standing in feces and urine with no food and little to no water to drink.

The second crate contained three dogs, which were also standing in feces with a water bowl that contained only mud and leaves.

The four dogs were impounded, with their owner, Brenda Mitchell, issued a citation for cruelty to animals and a court date of August 19th.
