The Obion County school board has approved a third version of their 2024-25 operating budget.
During Monday’s special called meeting, Director of Schools Tim Watkins explained the budget cuts for the financial plan.(AUDIO)
Director Watkins then introduced the plan to present to the full County Commission.(AUDIO)
Before their vote on the budget, board member Keisha Hooper expressed her displeasure at the elimination of a fund that helped students and teachers.(AUDIO)
The school board voted 5-0 to accept the budget, with Shannon Hogg and Jared Poore absent.
