The University of Tennessee at Martin has signed an articulation agreement with Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest.

A signing ceremony was held at TCAT’s Northwest Bells Instructional Service Center in Crockett County

The agreement will now enable more students in West Tennessee to pursue a degree through UT-Martin.

Dr. Youlanda Jones, president of TCAT Northwest, said the articulation agreement will be invaluable for the growth and expansion for farming operations technology and digital agronomy programs at the school.

Dr. Jones said the partnership will align perfectly with UT- Martin’s Bachelor of Science in agricultural business and Bachelor of Science in agriculture with a major in general agriculture.

UTM Chancellor Dr. Yancy Freeman said with completion of a farming operations technology, or a digital agronomy program at TCAT Northwest, students can earn up to 30 credit hours toward a UT-Martin degree.
