National Weather Service Meteorologist Explains Severe Weather Potential for Ken-Tenn Area

The National Weather Service Storm Information Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed parts of the local area in a Level 4, or Moderate Risk Zone, for the possibility of severe thunderstorms today.

Obion, Lake and Weakley County, along with all of Western Kentucky, have been placed in the Level 4 zone.

Memphis National Weather Service Meteorologist Caitlin Birkes told Thunderbolt News about effects and timeline of the potential storms.(AUDIO)

 

Ms. Birkes said the unusual movement of the storm system is creating the chance for all types of severe weather.(AUDIO)

 

A Flood Watch has already been issued for all of Western Kentucky until 7:00 on Thursday morning.
