MARTIN, Tenn. – The pending neutral site matchup between the University of Tennessee at Martin and North Alabama softball teams scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 has been cancelled.
The two programs were set to play a neutral site contest at Henderson County Sportsplex in Lexington, Tenn. for their second meeting this season and 10th overall in series history. Potential conference scheduling conflicts with the North Alabama softball team has forced the team’s cancellation of the event.
UT Martin will instead shift its attention back to Ohio Valley Conference play with a three-game series at Lindenwood on the docket this weekend. While the Skyhawks have clinched a berth in the upcoming OVC Softball Championship field, this weekend’s matchup will be key in seeding purposes as the Skyhawks currently sits one game behind the Lions in the league standings.
