The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for the Ken-Tenn area through late Monday night.
Forecasters say sustained southeast winds on Monday will be from 20-to-25 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 40 miles-per-hour.
Monday night the local area will have 25-to-30 mile per hour winds before midnight, with gusts possibly reaching 50 miles per hour.
Weather Service officials say the damaging winds could down trees and power lines, with travel difficult for high profile vehicles.
Forecasts for Monday night also call for the possibility of thunderstorms, which could bring up to two-inches of rainfall.
