Former NWTPTD Transporation Director Has Died

Former Northwest Tennessee Public Transportation Director Tommy Bradberry of Dresden has passed away.

He died following a short illness at the age of 75.   Mr. Bradberry was the first director of the nine county public transportation agency that provides public transportation services for anyone who needs the service.

Former Northwest Tennessee Development District Agency Director John Bucy said under Mr. Bradberry’s leadership the program grew from a handful of vans to approximately one hundred spread across nine counties in West Tennessee.

Mr. Bradberry retired in August of 2018 and was succeeded by Janet Moore.

A memorial service for Mr. Bradberry will be announced at a later time by Bowlin Funeral Home in Dresden.
