Writer-director Michel Franco’s film Memory has released a trailer, starring Jessica Chasten and Peter Sarsgaard
Memory features Sarsgaard as single father Saul, who has early onset dementia; and Chastain as Sylvia, a recovering alcoholic who becomes Saul’s caretaker and develops a relationship with him. Elsie Fisher plays Saul’s daughter and Brooke Timber plays Sylvia’s. The film also stars Merritt Wever, Jessica Harper, and Josh Charles as Saul’s brother.
A film synopsis reads: “Sylvia is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life, that is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.”
Memory opens in select theaters Dec. 22 and goes into wide release on Jan. 5. Take a look at the trailer – here.
