Kentucky State Police at Post 1 said a fatal accident Thursday morning in Lyon County involved a Hickman County teenager.
Post 1 reports said 19 year old Landon C. Ray, of Clinton, was killed in a one vehicle accident on I-24 near the Lake Barkley/Eddy Creek Bridge.
An initial investigation indicates Ray was operating a 2014 Ford Mustang going westbound, when he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle then exited the roadway, where it collided with trees and overturned.
Reports said Ray was taken by a medical helicopter to a Paducah hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
