Residents of Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas have been granted an extension on filing their federal and state taxes.
While today is Tax Day across the nation, those in Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas now have until November 3rd to file and pay any owed taxes.
The extension was granted by the Internal Revenue Service following a Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster declaration for the states.
The declaration was issued due to storms, tornadoes, flooding and landslides.
For the Commonwealth of Kentucky, residents can now file their state taxes by the November 3rd deadline, but any owed taxes to the state will be accessed a ten-percent penalty following today’s date.
