The National Weather Service has verified that two tornadoes touched down in Weakley County on April 2nd.
One tornado touched down in Latham and was rated as an EF-2, while another touched down in Palmersville minutes later that was rated an EF-1.
The Weakley County EMA Director Ray Wiggington says there were five areas of rotation over the county on that night.
This is the first time multiple tornadoes have been verified in Weakley County on the same day.
