
The UT Martin softball team lost both games of a double header against Tennessee Tech on Sunday.
In game one, the Skyhawks lost 2-0 after allowing two runs in the top of the seventh. Despite five scoreless innings from pitcher Natalie Kreuziger, UTM could not put up any runs.
In game two, the Skyhawks lost 9-4. Tennessee Tech put up four runs in the opening frame, but would not score again for nine innings.
UTM was able to tie the game in the fourth after a three-run home run by Avary Makarewicz, but the Golden Eagles took the win after scoring five runs in the 11th inning.
The Skyhawks will travel for a three-game series at Southern Indiana starting on Friday at noon.
