The UT Martin Department of Mass Media and Strategic Communication recently held their scholarship awards program.
Sixteen scholarships were awarded during the ceremony totaling $13,700.
Included in the presentations was $1,000 to Daniel Mancusi, of Martin, for the Stewart Byars Excellence in Radio Production Award.
Catey Henderson, of Martin, was presented $500 for Public Speaking.
A $1,500 Departmental scholarship was awarded to Ryleigh Ulen, of Union City, with $1,000 presented to LeeAnne Morefield, of Dresden, for the Country Radio Broadcasters scholarship.
Jayda Disney, of Troy, collected $300 for the Jeanna Swafford Public Relations scholarship, and James Crowell, of Union City, received $500 for the Charles Baird non-profit Public Relations scholarship.
