A Greenfield man is being held in the Weakley County Jail on charges of rape, assault, and kidnapping.
An arrest affidavit states that on March 29th, 62-year-old Gary Paul Gurley restrained, assaulted, and raped a victim at a residence on Mitchell Road in Greenfield.
According to the affidavit, the victim suffered severe internal bruising on her neck as well as other injuries. Gurley is charged with aggravated rape, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
No bond has been set. Gurley will appear in Weakley County General Sessions Court on Wednesday.
