On Tuesday the Weakley County School Board approved a resolution that would allow teachers to receive a one-time bonus through the Education Freedom Act.
Legislative Liaison Steve Vantrease explained the resolution.
Not all Weakley County faculty and staff will be receiving a bonus from the state. The bonuses will be limited to teachers only.
The School Board voted unanimously to accept the resolution.
