Two Obion County schools were recognized for outstanding achievements this week.
School Communications Director Lauren Kendall said Obion County Central and South Fulton Middle/High School were recognized during an administrative meeting.
Both schools were designated as Level 5 schools by the Tennessee Department of Education for the 2023-24 instructional year.
The designation highlights exceptional student achievement, along with college and career readiness.
The award also reflects on the dedicated work of students, educators and staff.
To help commemorate the honor, banners were presented by Director of Schools Tim Watkins to Obion Central principal Corry Essary and South Fulton principal Laura Pitts to display in their buildings.
