Several local winners were announced at the inaugural Northwest Tennessee Tourism Association Awards ceremony.
The event celebrated excellence in tourism across nine counties, that included Obion, Lake, Weakley, Dyer, Henry, Gibson, Carroll, Crockett and Benton.
In the “Experience Category”, The Chocolate Bunny of Union City was the winner in “Shopping”, with Discovery Park of America honored for the “Venue”.
In the “Partner Category”, Obion County Tourism Director Caroline Parton was named the “Star Cornerstone Champion”.
In the “Individuals Category”, Alicia Pinto of Martin was the winner of the “Volunteer Star” award.
The event was held at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center.
