Members of the Union City Public Works Department continue their efforts to repair a ruptured water line that delivers services to the Midway community.
The eight-inch water line ruptured during heavy flooding last week, and was submerged in flood waters of over eight feet.
On Thursday, Public Works crews were pumping water around the line, which is located under a bridge on Highway 431.
The City of Martin agreed to provide water service during the outage, and over 7,000 feet of temporary two-inch water line was run from a fire hydrant in Weakley County on Wednesday.
The temporary line was connected to again provide running water to homes and businesses in the Midway community.
