West Carroll High School has named Jay Taylor as the new head football coach for the War Eagles.
Taylor replaces Adam Dowland, who coached one season for West Carroll and went 4-7.
Coach Taylor brings 18 years of experience to Atwood, most recently serving as offensive coordinator at Peabody High School.
During his ten year tenure, Peabody achieved a 44-game winning streak and captured three consecutive state championships from 2018 to 2020.
Taylor is a graduate of McKenzie UT Martin (2007) and McKenzie High School (2003).
He is married to Megan Taylor and they have a son, 8-year-old Kipton.
