The UT Martin softball team fell, 12-0, in five innings to 19th-ranked Ole Miss Tuesday at the Ole Miss Softball Stadium in Oxford.
The Rebels proved why they are one of the best teams in the nation Tuesday, shutting out the Skyhawks and limiting them to just two hits in the game.
Carly Ward and Dylan Scott tallied the only hits for UT Martin in the game, while pinch-hitter Addie Robert reached base on an error.
The Skyhawks continue OVC play this weekend when they host Tennessee Tech for a single game Saturday at 2:30 and a doubleheader Sunday at Noon.
