A Ripley man has been sentenced to 90 years in prison for aggravated rape and aggravated robbery.
Thirty-seven year old Jimmy Taylor was sentenced on Monday by Judge Mark Hayes. He received 60 years for aggravated rape and 30 for robbery.
In June of 2022, Taylor entered a title loan/check cashing business in Dyersburg, where he sprayed a clerk with mace and demanded money.
After receiving money, Taylor forced the clerk into a back room where she was raped by Taylor. The case was investigated by the Dyersburg Police Department.
