National Weather Service: Record Flooding Occurring Near Obion

The National Weather Service says record flooding is occurring near Obion.

At 11:00 on Monday morning, the Obion River at Obion had a stage of 40.5-feet, which is six-and-a-half feet over the flood stage of 34-feet.

The river is expected to rise to a crest at 40.9-feet after midnight on Monday.

Motorists are being urged to not drive around any placed barricades during this flooding.

With most flooding deaths occurring in vehicles, all motorists are advised to not drive in any flood water.
