The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a severe case of animal cruelty and torture.
On March 31st, deputies were led to a residence on Woodville Road in West Paducah.
At the scene, officers executed a search warrant at the home of 66 year old David Howery.
Eighteen dogs were found inside the home living in deplorable conditions, with one euthanized at the scene.
Sheriff’s reports said the main area of the home was stacked from floor to ceiling in crates.
The home was infested with fleas and rodents, with the animals in need of serious medical care and treatment.
A total of 32 dogs were victims in the case, and were removed by McCracken County Animal Control.
They were transported to the Humane Society, with Howery taken into custody by law enforcement officials on Saturday.
