Man Sentenced for Shooting at Humboldt High School

A man has been sentenced to 76 years in prison in the Gibson County Circuit Court.

In November of 2021, 21-year-old Jadon Hardiman entered a Humboldt High School basketball game where he shot and killed Justin Pankey and Xavier Clifton, while wounding Dontavious Cross.

After a jury trial in November of 2024 Hardiman was convicted of two counts of second degree murder, attempted second degree murder, employing a firearm during commission of a felony, carrying a weapon on school property, and aggravated assault.

On Monday Circuit Court Judge Clayburn Peeples sentenced Hardiman to 76 years in the Tennessee Department of Corrections.
