Governor Bill Lee traveled to McNairy County surveying the storm damage in Selmer and met with survivors following the severe weather and flooding that swept through the West Tennessee Wednesday night.
TEMA Director Patrick Sheehan and Congressman David Kustoff reviewed the damage with Governor Lee who viewed damage with local officials.
Governor Lee announced an emergency declaration request which was approved swiftly by the Trump Administration to provide emergency protective measures limited to direct federal assistance, under the Public Assistance program at 75 percent.
