An Obion County Sheriff’s Office K9 has become protected due to a donation.
Obion County Sheriff Karl Jackson said K9 Sammie has now received the bullet and stab protective vest, thanks to the donation to Vested Interest in K9’s Incorporated.
Each vest has a value of $1,800 and weighs four to five pounds.
The body armor provides the K9 Unit with the needed protection to serve as an officer with the department.
