A large number of children were registered in Union City for the next school year.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said more than 125 children registered for both Pre-K and Kindergarten last week.
That number is even expected to rise before the new school year begins in August.
Union City Elementary principal Allison Palmer, Vice Principals Bill Kail and Maggie Miller, along with Director of Pre-K and Special Populations Laney Rogers, were on hand to assist in the registration process.
Parents were on hand to complete the necessary registration paperwork, with some initial informal testing in one-on-one settings also occurring between teachers and the children.
