
A traffic stop on I-40 led to the seizure of 115 pounds of meth on Tuesday.
Agents with the West Tennessee Criminal Interdiction Unit stopped a commercial vehicle travelling east in Haywood County. During the stop agents observed abnormalities in a private vehicle being transported on a trailer.
A K9 alerted authorities to the presence of narcotics. A search was conducted on the vehicle and agents discovered 50 large bags of meth with a street value over $500,000.
An investigation is ongoing and any charges will be prosecuted in Haywood County.
