During the Weakley County Commission meeting on Monday, Mayor Dale Hutcherson presented a proclamation to the two Governor’s Volunteer Star award recipients from Weakley County.
Gleason sophomore Marley Crews and Dresden native Phyllis Fhaner were given the award for their outstanding volunteer work in their communities.
Ms. Crews was not present at the meeting, but was recognized for her volunteer work at the Sharon Senior Center.
