It was a homecoming celebration Sunday for both Greenfield and Westview girl’s basketball teams who won their state championships.
Westview defeated York Institute to claim their fourth gold ball of which in three came in the last four years while Greenfield claimed their second gold ball in the past five years.
During the home coming celebration both Greenfield and Westview schools recognized their teams and their tournament Most Valuable Player, Maddie Gray for Westview and Greenfield’s Rayanna Fisher.
Other members of the “all tournament team” included Anna Grace Abernathy, Jayleigh Bowers, and Ella Porter.
Meanwhile it’s believed that it was the first time two schools from the same county have won state championships in basketball on the same night.
