The National Weather Service in Memphis has now increased the Ken-Tenn area to a Level-4, or Moderate Zone, for the possibility of strong to severe thunderstorms late Friday and Saturday.
Counties included in the Level-4 Zone includes Obion, Lake, Weakley, Dyer and a portion of Gibson, along with Fulton, Hickman, Carlisle, Ballard, Graves and McCracken in Western Kentucky.
The issue with the approaching front is what type of severe weather could occur and where.
Memphis Weather Service Meteorologist Andy Chiuppi gave Thunderbolt News an update on the potential severe weather system.(AUDIO)
Chiuppi said anyone having outdoor events scheduled on Friday night should be alerted to the possibility of severe weather.
The Level-4, or Moderate Zone, is on a scale of five by the National Weather Service.
