Community members in Union City are mourning the passing of former City Manager Kathy Dillon.
Ms. Dillon passed away Tuesday following a long courageous battle against cancer.
Ms. Dillon began her duties of interim City Manager in August of 2009, then accepted the position in 2010.
Union City Mayor Terry Hailey had high accolades for the service Ms. Dillon gave to the city government and its residents.(AUDIO)
Former Union City Police Chief Perry Barfield said Ms. Dillon was strong with her day-to-day duties as City Manager and in her battle against cancer.(AUDIO)
Ms. Dillon retired as Union City’s City Manager in December of 2023, with large community reception held at the Municipal Building.
