
A local college town is gathering national attention in a USA Readers Choice poll.
Murray, Kentucky is currently ranked fourth in national voting for the “Best Small College Town”.
Twenty nominees with populations of 50,000 or less are being voted on to claim the national prize.
Murray State University opened in 1922, and is being promoted at the quintessential college town with pubs, bars, parks, restaurants and the Calloway County Quilt Trail featuring 60 patterns on barns, homes and other buildings.
Currently, Florence, Alabama is the top vote receiver for the University of North Alabama.
Voting closes at noon on March 31st, with the winning town to be announced on April 9th.
