The No. 8 UT Martin men’s basketball team made a comeback to upset No. 5 Tennessee Tech 70-67 in the first round of the Ohio Valley Conference Championship on Wednesday.
The game included nine lead changes and six ties, with Skyhawks taking the lead in the final three minutes with the help of Vladimer Salaridze and Tarence Guinyard.
Head Coach Jeremy Shulman attributed the win to his team’s belief in themselves.
UTM advances to the quarterfinals against Little Rock on Thursday night. Tipoff is at 6 with airtime at 5:30 on WCMT.
