A teenager has been charged in the shooting death of another teenager in Jackson.
The Jackson Police Department says a 16 year old male has been charged with criminally negligent homicide in death of a 15 year old male.
Jackson police were called to the 100 block of Dustin Drive on Wednesday afternoon, where they found the 15-year-old suffering from a gunshot wound inside a residence.
He was transported to a Jackson hospital but died from his injuries.
The 16-year-old was at the scene and taken into custody for questioning.
After findings were presented to the District Attorney’s office, charges were issued.
