Since the news that the Ned Ray McWherter National Guard Armory in Dresden was moving was released people have been speculating on why it is leaving.
Tennessee Army National Guard Staff Sergeant Jonathan Cadwell tells Thunderbolt News that the move is strategic.
Staff Sgt. Cadwell says that the move has nothing to do with finances and that the National Guard is actually looking to open new armories.
The Dresden Armory will be decommissioned by the end of March.
